From start to finish Lucy made a huge effort to get to know us in order to deliver the most personal ceremony possible. As I arrived on the day, a nervous wreck of a groom, I was met by the calming presence of Lucy who whipped me into shape and got me ready for the ceremony. Everyone who came commented on how nice the words she prepared were and how having someone who had made an effort to get to know their customers made the ceremony even more special. Lucy is the consummate professional. In the beginning she was just someone who we were recommended to but by the end she was a friend. Your big day should be the best of your life and Lucy is the person who will ensure that, I genuinely could not recommend her enough. Lucy, thank you again – you’re the best!

We can only honestly say that our ceremony was the most amazing, special, personal, incredible experience we could have ever dreamed of. As the ceremony should be, it was our favourite part of our day! From our first interactions with Lucy we knew we were in safe hands but boy did the day just exceed every expectation we had!! The time, effort and hard work Lucy had put into our day was remarkable. We decided to keep the script for the day a surprise and we could not recommend this enough! We were able to enjoy so many personal surprises including hearing some really special words and stories from our nearest and dearest. How everything intertwined was perfect, everything ran so effortlessly even when we had our nephew join in on the vows it didn’t faze Lucy and she managed it like a true pro! We know we are bias but it was by far the best ceremony that we have experienced and this has been mirrored by all the feedback from our guests. On behalf of myself and my hubby, we would like to thank Lucy for making our day so special. We had visions of how we wanted our wedding to be – laid back with personal touches and humorous (myself and my husband are not the serious type!) Lucy did exactly that and more, all our guests commented on how beautiful the ceremony was and how it told the story of our lives together, the past, the present and the future. The planning process was a breeze, with FaceTime sessions and regular emails, we knew Lucy was there for us whenever we had questions. Holding our ceremony in a private villa was fantastic, however due to unforeseen events such as an overheating sound system (it must be only used to British Weather!) and our tuk tuk arriving slightly earlier than planned. Lucy had to step in and organise guests, then deal with a stressed, emotional Bride! She did a fantastic job, and we can’t thank Lucy enough. Love from Mr & Mrs Quine

My husband Brandon and I can’t thank you enough for marrying us and for just being so wonderful and involved in our wedding and our story. From the minute I watched your online video, I knew immediately you were the celebrant for the job – so warm, kind, personable, smiley, professional and genuine. You have gone above and beyond what we thought your role would be – from Skype chats, emails, pre-wedding meetings on the beach (over a glass of sangria), phone calls, secret emails to friends and family… to the magical ceremony itself – not forgetting your singing (!) and saving the day with microphones for our string quartet who attempted to play in gail force conditions…we feel truly blessed to have found the perfect person to conduct our wedding at Nossa Senhora da Rocha. The whole experience from start to finish was so personal and you made us both feel so at ease. So many of our guests commented that it was the best wedding ceremony they have ever attended. I felt like you’d become a good friend by the end and actually miss our chats! We would both highly recommend you to anyone considering getting married in the Algarve.

My wife Maria and I would like to thank Lucy so much for performing our ceremony. While planning a destination wedding in Portugal from the US can be stressful, throughout the process, Lucy could not have been more organized, helpful, professional, caring, and kind. She guided us through every detail of our ceremony, providing advice and ideas to make everything exactly as we envisioned, even speaking to family and friends to get to know us better. Through her questions, she inspired us to think much more deeply about what we wanted to say and what my wife and I mean to each other. She felt like a friend from almost the first moment we spoke to her, even helping us with some planning that was beyond the scope of her job. Most importantly, she showed a sincere desire to ensure our ceremony was absolutely perfect and very personal to us. She is keenly aware that this day is one of the most important in her clients’ lives, which shows in the amount of time and effort she puts into each ceremony. Although we knew from the beginning that we had made the right choice for our celebrant, it wasn’t until the day of our ceremony that we truly realized how lucky we were to have found her. Having kept our script a surprise at our request, we were so shocked and moved on our day at how personal it was, as if being performed by a friend who had known us for years. Although she is experienced and performs many ceremonies, she made us feel ours was the most important and the only one. On our day, she arrived happy and excited, and her positive attitude and demeanor rubbed off on us and our guests. She calmed us down with poise when some things beyond anyone’s control didn’t go as planned. In the end, we will always remember Lucy as a big part of our positive and extremely happy experience in the Algarve and on our wedding day. We found Lucy online and from our first meeting on Skype, I knew we were in good hands. Lucy was fantastic to talk to, her energy is amazing and we felt very relaxed with her. We got sent lots of information which helped, especially with writing our own vows. On the wedding day, I was very nervous and Lucy calmed me down and made me breathe and enjoy the moment. I was very worried about the heat and asked Lucy to cut down the ceremony from 45mins to 20mins. Lucy changed everything minutes before the ceremony was due to start. The ceremony was perfect for us.
